RUSSIAN forces suffering massive frontline losses have deployed the world's largest nuke-capable mortar weapon to the Ukrainian battlefield.
Dubbed "the sledgehammer", the 254 Tulip or Tyulpan - self-propelled mortar is 240mm wide - twice the size of NATO's equivalent.
Transported on its own tracks it has a range of 12 miles and is used to obliterate large fortifications, military equipment or troop positions.
