Rangers are a different team now and we can show it at Ibrox

We don't need a boot up Aris to KO Cypriots.

JAMES TAVERNIER is the first to admit Rangers made a right Aris of it in Limassol.

But the Ibrox skipper insists there's no need for a kick up the backside this time with his geed-up Gers determined to make amends for that Cypriot sickener.

The Light Blues welcome Aleksey Shpilevsky's side to Glasgow tomorrow night desperate to settle scores after last month's shock defeat to the Mediterranean minnows.

The 2-1 Europa League triumph at the Alphamega Stadium - Limassol's first-ever group-stage win in UEFA competition has been hailed as the club's greatest result in its 93-year history.

But it was the humiliating low point for a Rangers team that had just days earlier seen Michael Beale sacked as boss, leaving the Ibrox club open to some merciless trolling from Aris's savage social media admin. Since then, however, Gers have gradually begun to get their house in order with new gaffer Philippe Clement still unbeaten eight games into his new reign.

The big Belgian is now hoping to continue that improvement tomorrow by steering his side to a win that will guarantee them European action into the new year. And Tavernier is adamant that's all the motivation his side need to get their derrieres into gear.

He said: "We know how disappointing a performance it was we put in in Cyprus. But a lot has changed since then.

"The gaffer has come in. We are really listening to him and taking his ideas on to the pitch.
