GRAEME SHINNIE is adamant Aberdeen's toiling stars can't go into their shells and must stand up to fight out of their rut.

Shinnie knows that, as the stand-in gaffer puts his stamp on to the squad while the club hunts for a permanent new gaffer, the players have to take big responsibility in turning the tide.

Aberdeen's weekend defeat at Celtic Park was their seventh successive away loss in the Premiership, their worst league run in 24 years.

With a Hampden semi-final against Rangers and a Scottish Cup shocker at Darvel added to that list, it's nine matches and four months since they avoided defeat away from Pittodrie in a shocking spell.
