A RANGERS fan and his son who went on a 500-mile trip to watch their heroes only for the match to be cancelled have had their travel costs covered by two of the club's sponsors.
Thomas Fish and his son Ollie left from their home in Wales for the game against Dundee at Dens Park.
On Saturday, Thomas&nbsp;posted a photo setting off on a bus in the dead of night along with his young son with the message: "Dundee away starts now. Overnight bus to Scotland aren't for the weak but neither are title races."
But a gruelling 12 hours later he posted a tweet that there was a&nbsp;late pitch inspection which led to the match being called off because the playing surface was waterlogged.
Fans sympathised with the fed-up duo when they shared their story on social media and the club helped to ease their disappointment by&nbsp;arranging for Ollie to meet some of the first team.
Now they have received more good news, with all their travel and hotel expenses being reimbursed by two bighearted club sponsors.
Thomas posted on X, formerly Twitter: "Massive thanks to Rangers FC partners Rhino Express and Pipeline Energy Solutions who got in touch and have kindly covered our travel and hotel costs after Sunday's disaster."
The SPFL have announced that the axed Dundee versus Rangers match will now take place on April 10.
