HE has been sickened by results on Aberdeen's Euro return but Richard Jensen is craving a homecoming that shows the Dons have learned to take their medicine.

The Finland international came through HJK Helsinki's youth ranks before upping sticks for the academy at Dutch side Twente in 2012.

Jensen returns to the Bolt Arena for the first time in his senior career and with family and friends watching, he's desperate to help the Dons to a first European win of the season.

Aberdeen ran Eintracht Frankfurt close in Germany, surrendered a two-goal lead against PAOK, left Greece with a point and had to settle for another at home to HJK.

But Frankfurt and PAOK's runs meant Aberdeen's hopes of a Europa Conference League knockout stage spot were over with two games to spare.

The 27-year-old said: "It has been sickening, we have had some incredible performances but haven't really got the results we perhaps deserved.

"Have we lacked luck? I don't know, luck... you sometimes have it and sometimes you don't, so I can't say much more about that. Did I feel unlucky with the slip against PAOK? I dunno.

"On the other hand, you are there on the pitch trying to win games and sometimes it just doesn't go your way.

"We did our best but just didn't succeed. We should have done something perhaps slightly been sickening, we have had some incredible performances but haven't really got the results we perhaps deserved.
