AN EGG company has been given the green light to build an underpass that allows 32,000 chickens to cross the road.
A 60ft tunnel will let birds make their way between buildings belonging to East Lothian Eggs Ltd on its farm near Gifford.
The firm said it needed extra room to be able to call its eggs free range, so the birds will pass through the tunnel to access fields on either side of the B6368.
