YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN RONNIE

RANGERS legend Ronnie MacKinnon has died aged 83, the Ibrox club said yesterday.

The former centre-back starred during a golden period in the early 1960s, making almost 500 club appearances as he lifted two league titles, four Scottish Cups and three League Cups.

MacKinnon's Ibrox captain John Greig led the tributes. He said: "He was a dear friend who I will miss. I'll always remember Ronnie." MacKinnon was part of the side that lost to Bayern Munich in the 1967 European Cup Winners' Cup final.
