The rock legend said his wife Penny had been upset at how the host and judge acted towards her when she was on the celebrity version of the hit BBC show in 2021.

He spoke as an investigation was launched into complaints about Wallace over a 17-year period.

And a letter signed by 13 people this week claimed they had witnessed his behaviour, including former BBC Newsnight host Kirsty Wark.

Wallace reportedly made sex-related jokes, thrust his body towards a woman and wandered around the studio "completely naked except for [a] sock pulled over his penis".

Sir Rod, 79, blasted the 60-year-old.

He wrote: "You humiliated my wife when she was on the show, but you had that bit cut out, didn't you? "You're a tubby, bald-headed, ill-mannered bully. Karma got ya." Kirsty, who was on Celebrity MasterChef in 2011, claimed Wallace told jokes of a "sexualised nature" in front of contestants and crew she felt were "really, really in the wrong place.

She told how her experience on Celebrity MasterChef was "joyous", but added: "The fly in the ointment, on occasion, was Gregg Wallace.

"I think people were uncomfortable.

Proud boss Mark: Forget miss, we wouldn't be here without Scott

PROUD Fraserburgh boss Mark Cowie can't blame striker Scott Barbour for passing up the moment his Highland League outfit had dreamed of. The 85-1 outsiders knew they were coming to Ibrox with only the slimmest of opportunities to cause an upset. But they might have stood a chance had Barbour taken his big moment just before half-time. Pouncing on a mistake by Gers keeper Mason Munn, the club's record scorer with 270 goals couldn't grab the biggest of his career as he dragged wide.

Jacksons to headline UK summer fest

THE Jacksons are set to return to the UK to headline a music festival. The Motown stars - whose hits include Blame It on the Boogie, I Want You Back and Can You Feel It - will top the bill at Guil- fest on Saturday July 5. Only three members of the original line-up - Jackie, 72, Jermaine, 70, and Marlon, 67 - are still alive after Michael died aged 50 in 2009 and Tito died aged 70 last year. Marlon, Jackie and Tito's son Taryll, 49, will perform at the festival in Guildford, Surrey, which sold out last year when it returned for the first time in a decade. Organiser Tony Scott said: \"It is an absolute priv- ilege to have the legendary Jacksons headlining.\" Razorlight will play the main stage on Sunday.
