Tommy Moore passed on his World War Two-style moves to soldiers from the Reconnaissance forces of the Presidential Guard.
It followed a plea from the Ukrainian military for lessons in how to fight the Russians unarmed at close quarters. As the war intensifies, they are set to find themselves up close to the enemy more and more.
Tommy, 34, is an expert in Bartitsu - a Victorian martial art by Sir immortalised Arthur Conan Doyle in a Sherlock Holmes novel.

The super-heavyweight boxer travelled to the war-torn country with ex-British Army soldier Brett Mackenzie to train the elite forces in techniques such as eye gouges. The Ukrainian troops will pass on the skills to 3,000 other soldiers.
Tommy - who is 6ft 3in and 18st said: "Training and equipment is scarce, even for prestigious units like the Recon chaps. Between Brett and I, we had the skills and teaching experience to lend this crucial material to people who needed it.
"We were honoured to be able to show them things that will keep them safer and sharper on the battlefield."
Ex-teacher Tommy, of Birmingham, and dad-of-two Brett, 52, of Norwich, gave their services for free.
Their trip was funded by Vans Without Borders, which delivers military and humanitarian aid.
