And jewellery firm Clogau found 70% of them have binned “dated” accessories worth up to £3,000. Their poll also found almost nine in 10 (89%) of youngsters say chunky accessories are “embarrassing”. A further 14% have ditched hefty “Mr T-style” gold chains. Other gaffes include copying rapper Kanye West’s platinum teeth, Pete from Gavin and Stacey’s “Puff Daddy-style” wedding ring, and DJ Goldie’s gold gnashers. Clogau’s Ben Roberts said: “Keeping on top of jewellery trends can be a challenge, no matter who you are.”
