SIX-time Olympic medallist Max Whitlock says it was easy to dedicate himself to his sport – because he hates the taste of booze and doesn’t like parties. The gymnast – who boasts three golds and three bronzes – said he can’t stand beer and spirits. And instead of piling into the pub with his pals, he started working out in the gym. Whitlock has gone on to become the most successful gymnast in British history. The 31-year-old has not cared about missing out on a single session, party or booze-drenched holiday. He told the Daily Star Sunday: “I’ve never seen anything I do for gym as a sacrifice. “I don’t drink. If I do it’s on the rarest occasion. I’d rather not. Most of it is revolting. “I hate the taste of beer.
