The number of lampreys in our rivers is rocketing after the breeding season kicked off.
The "vampire fish" kills off other fish by latching on to them and sucking their blood.

There has been a surge in numbers in rivers including the Great Ouse, Usk, Wye, Trent, Great Stour, Derwent, Severn, and Wear.
&nbsp;In 2007, sea lampreys attacked swimmers in Lake Champlain in north America.
Christopher Swain, one of the victims, said: "I touched a living thing that was attached to me. It was thicker than my wrist and I freaked out.
"I pulled it off but it shot back on. It did not&nbsp;want to be removed." He added: "I eventually got hold of the thing and managed to throw it.
"They are extremely fast, aggressive extremely and very hard to fight off. They want your blood."
There are thought to be around 20,000 sea lampreys in our rivers at the moment. The largest grow to over 3ft and return from the sea in May to breed.
