JORDAN HENDERSON insists his move to Saudi Arabia should not spell the end of his international career with a Euros swansong firmly in his sights.
The former Liverpool player admitted people were within their rights to challenge him over his controversial summer move to the Saudi Pro League, given his previously outspoken support for LGBT+ rights.
But he maintained no one should doubt his commitment to the cause or think his switch to Al-Ettifaq has dimmed his hunger to continue to play for the Three Lions.
"I'm playing in that league now and I'm still here, still playing," he said. "So I had conversations before with the manager about what I thought was the right move for me at that time.
"It was a big decision, but one where I felt as though I could still be playing regularly. Maybe not yet in a top league like the Premier League, of course.
