Men spend 22 hours a week on "domestic labour" and 44 hours doing paid work, while women spend 40 hours on household chores, a new study reveals. Experts reckon guys can boost their "life satisfaction" by doing more cooking, washing clothes, ironing and sewing.Researchers, writing in the Journal Of Happiness Studies, remarked: "Our results indicate men could experience increased life satisfaction if they traditionally spent more time on household responsibilities held by women - theat is routine chores, and taking care of their own children." The study suggested blokes who spent 20 hours a week on chores and 31 hours a week at work would be happier. Dads spent an average of seven hours a week taking care of their kids with many saying their life satisfaction grew the more they did.The study was based on 6,000 couples looking at how gender equality impacts their lives.
