SILENCE fell across Israel yesterday as it marked the anniversary of the October 7 Hamas attacks.
Ceremonies were held to commemorate last year's atrocities, in which Hamas militants killed 1,200 victims and took 251 people hostage.
Mourners gathered at the site of the Nova music festival for a memorial service in Re'im, Israel, while another hostage death, Idan Shtivi, 28, was announced yesterday.
