ONE of the craziest results in UFC history could only have been pulled off by THE craziest man in MMA.

Sean Strickland proudly holds that position and he can now call himself the middleweight champion of the world after dethroning Israel Adesanya.

As UFC president Dana White neatly put it: "This is the fight business, boys and girls, and he is one of the nuttiest in the sport."

In the biggest shock since Holly Holm beat Ronda Rousey in 2015, also in Australia, Strickland, utilising his boxing skills, outpointed "The Last Stylebender' over five rounds in Sydney, all three judges scoring the UFC 293 main event 49-46.
