A VETERAN accountant who misquoted Dad's Army to label a female director "a stupid girl" has been found guilty of sexism.
David Forge used Captain Mainwaring's famous line from the classic BBC sitcom in an email, a disciplinary committee was told.
Mainwaring - played by Arthur Lowe - often refers to lan Lavender's Private Pike - as "You&nbsp;Stupid Boy". However, Mr Forge changed it as part of an ongoing row with the woman who was on the board of a property management firm.
He wrote as part of a series of "sexist, aggressive and offensive" messages: "In the infamous amended words of Captain Mainwaring - you stupid girl." The&nbsp;disciplinary hearing was told Mr Forge, of Maidstone, Kent, got into a dispute with staff involved in managing a development where he owned a property.
He believed the firm had committed fraud.
In other messages sent between 2015 and 2018 he asked the director: "Haven't you got anything&nbsp;better to do like washing up?" And Mr Forge also referred to another person as "an old git" and "a dead man walking".
After being found guilty of misconduct, Mr Forge has been kicked out of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and told to pay &pound;15,000 legal costs.
