XL Bully dogs are killing victims at a faster rate than they did before they were banned.Two people have died in the UK after being mauled by the devil mutts in the four months since the ban came into force on February 1.Four people were killed in the whole of 2023.But charities say they are not surprised as more and more of the mutts are being abandoned.Ira Moss, from London dog sanctuary and charity All Dogs Matter, said: "During the lead-up to the ban we, and all the other charities, were getting an average of 10 calls a day I'm talking about over a month or two quite a lot of dogs who have nowhere to go."Charities didn't want to take them in because they didn't want to be responsible."A lot of vets didn't want to put them to sleep, they said they were protecting their mental health." Ms Moss warned that many XL Bullies were being tied up and dumped in parks due to the ban - but then escaping.She said in many cases it resulted in "the owner going off and the dog getting scared, pulling away from its lead or collar because it is so strong".
