Captain Tom's daughter admits keeping '£800k' from his books

CAPTAIN Sir Tom Moore’s daughter has admitted keeping thousands of pounds from the three books he wrote before he died despite the prologue in one of them saying the money would go to his charity.

In a tearful interview, Hannah Ingram-Moore also said she had been paid to attend her own organisation’s awards ceremony. Her father became a national hero when he raised £38 million for the NHS by walking 100 laps of his garden before his 100th birthday at the height of the first national Covid-19 lock down in April 2020. He died in February 2021.

Ms Ingram-Moore insisted her father wanted his family to keep the money from the three books, reportedly as much as £800,000, in a family firm called Club Nook Ltd, which is separate to the Captain Tom Foundation charity.
