Gallagher was outstanding on his first Champions League start last night to help Chelsea beat RB Salzburg 2-1 to secure top spot in Group E with a game to spare.
The midfielder endured a difficult start to the season after deciding to stay at Stamford Bridge following his successful loan spell at Crystal Palace last term.
He was sent off on only his second Chelsea start, against Leicester in August, and was then dropped from the England squad for the last international meet-up.
But Gallagher has proved his worth to Chelsea and is impressing under new head coach Graham Potter.
