The unnamed victim died at the scene of the crash shortly before 4am on the A40 near the Park Royal London Underground station, despite attempts by ambulance staff and police to save her.
Two other people in the Range Rover were also taken to hospital following the accident which caused a shutdown of the Piccadilly Line and traffic delays - while a woman with the stationary Tesla was also treated for injuries.
Police said both the A40 and the Tube line were likely to remain closed for "a considerable time" and urged commuters to avoid the area as investigators continue to examine the site.
Scotland Yard said it was too early to say exactly how the crash had occurred and why the Tesla was stationary. The age of the victim and the condition of the two other casualties have also yet to be released.
