Family members in Israel said that Yahel, 13, had lost her life after being caught up with her family in the bloodthirsty attack on Kibbutz Be’eri in southern Israel where they lived.
Her sister Noiya, 16, remains missing but the news of Yahel’s death will only intensify concern about her fate.
The girls’ mother Lianne was already confirmed as having been killed, while their father Eli is missing. Their uncle Yossi has been confirmed as kidnapped and taken hostage. The tragic news came as Foreign Office minister Andrew Mitchell said the Government was doing everything it can to help secure the release of the remaining British hostages. It follows yesterday’s announcement by Prime Minister Rishi Sunak that 10 Britons were missing with six already confirmed dead following the Hamas attack on southern Israel.
