Paris Hilton tells Congress of her teen sex abuse ordeal

PARIS HILTON has told Congress that she was sexually abused and force-fed medication during the time she spent in youth residential treatment facilities as a teenager.

The American reality star and socialite, 43, called for changes to the youth residential facilities — often described as the “troubled teen industry” — as she shared her own experience with alleged abuse.

Appearing before a House of Representatives committee, she described being “ripped” from her bed in the middle of the night aged 16 and transported across state lines to a residential facility where she experienced physical and sexual abuse. She has previously revealed that her parents sent her there after she started clubbing and partying at 15.

She said: "This $23billion industry sees this population (of vulnerable children) as dollar signs and operates without meaningful oversight.
