All the luxury you need, at half the price of a luxury car & two times fuel efficiency
Vikram Chaudhary

Luxury can be sustainable – the new Camry has a fuel efficiency of 25.49 km/litre (in actual conditions, about 20 km/litre).

Luxury can be sensible – it costs ₹48 lakh, 40% less than a Mercedes-Benz E-Class.

Luxury can be sensual – take the rear seat, close your eyes, and feel like heaven.

That’s the new Camry – so striking that it’s distracting. Here’s a brief report after driving it over a couple of days around Bengaluru.

What’s the Camry?

Toyota’s global icon, the Camry has been America’s bestselling car for 22 years. It was first launched in India in 2002. This month, the all-new model arrived. Sales in India are about 180 cars every month. There are two variants – Elegance (₹48 lakh), and Sprint (price and deliveries in April next year).

How does it look?
