IndusInd Bank Q3 PAT climbs 17% on higher core income

INDUSIND BANK ON Thursday reported a 17% growth in its December quarter net profit to ₹2,301 crore, aided by higher core income and a stable asset quality.

IndusInd Bank Q3 PAT climbs 17% on higher core income

The private sector lender had posted a net profit of ₹1,964 crore for the year-ago period. The Q3FY24 profit is higher than Bloomberg's consensus estimate of ₹2,266 crore.

The net interest income (NII) rose 18% year-on-year (YoY) to ₹5,296 crore. Other income, which includes fess from third party income and investment gains, among others, rose 15% YoY and 5% quarter on quarter to ₹2,396 crore.

Overall advances as of December 31 were at ₹3.27 trillion, up 20% YoY. Around 55% of overall loans were retail advances, dominated by vehicle loans, while corporate loans accounted for the rest.
