Lingayat leaders seek reversal of BJP MLA Yatnal's expulsion

Several Lingayat leaders, particularly from North Karnataka, voiced strong opposition to the expulsion of senior BJP MLA Basanagouda Patil Yatnal on Thursday, with key figures from the Panchamasali community condemning the decision and demanding its reversal.

Jaya Mrutunjaya Swamy, a prominent leader in the Panchamasali reservation movement, stated that Lingayat leaders, especially Panchamasalis from North Karnataka, have been sidelined within the party. Expressing solidarity with Yatnal, Basavajaya Mruthyunjaya Swamiji also denounced the BJP's move. "The Lingayat Panchamasali community condemns the expulsion of MLA Basanagouda Patil Yatnal from the BJP," he declared.
