The Hyundai Creta SUV, driven by Bhushan Gole from Vile Parle area of Mumbai, was taking a U-turn when it struck the victim, identified as Aayush Kinawade.A police officer on the condition of anonymity said that the SUV was parked next to the deceased's residence."The family resided on the footpath opposite the college under a makeshift hut of tarpaulin sheets," the officer said. "The driver of the SUV had parked the vehicle outside the family's hut. When the car's owner called the driver to pick her up, the driver took a U-turn when the four-year-old boy came under its left front tyre."The boy was rushed to the hospital where he was declared dead. Meanwhile, the driver was caught by the public and handed over to the police, officials added."...The driver was not under the influence of alcohol," another official said.The driver was arrested under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS) and further investigation is underway.
