KANPUR: The first incident occurred in 2019 and the other two came to fore between September and December 2024.
The key issue for the Kanpur police is that these cases are linked to two names—Ginna Gihar and his son Ranjit Gihar, residents of Kanpur district's Shivrajpur town.
In each case, a letter with their names written on it was found. Handwriting experts have concluded that the writing on the letters was the same.
Police interrogated Ginna and his son for days following each incident. Now 80, Ginna, a former key police informer, is absolutely clueless as to who is placing these cylinders and using his and his son's names in the letters.
