PRAYAGRAJ: For the first time, a team of trainee fire engineers and fire safety professionals will assist in ensuring that the mega religious fair of Mahakumbh-2025 remains a fire incident free zone.
"A group of 30 final-year students from the National Fire Services College in Nagpur, which operates under the Union Home Ministry, will serve as fire volunteers during the 45-day mega religious fair," said Aman Sharma, Deputy Director (Fire Service), UP.
He added that many of these trainees, who will serve at Mahakumbh-2025, hail from Uttar Pradesh and will play a vital role in advanced fire-fighting operations. They will also lead awareness drives to promote public safety during the event.
National Fire Service College (NFSC) is a premier training institution operating under the aegis of the Director General (Fire Services, Civil Defence and Home Guards), Ministry of Home Affairs, New Delhi.
