UMRANGSO: Rescuers involved in the ongoing operations to retrieve miners trapped inside an illegal coal mine in Assam's Dima Hasao district said that chances of finding any survivors are very slim, while citing zero visibility, murky water, and lack of a blueprint or map of the mine as key challenges the rescuers face.
Army divers from 21 Paras of the Special Forces recovered the body of one of the suspected nine trapped miners on Wednesday morning from the inundated well-shaped coal mine located in 3 Kilo area in the coal reserves of Umrangso in the hill district.
