Scribe tricks fraudster into sending him ₹10k

A Kanpur-based journalist allegedly outsmarted a cyber fraudster posing as a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) officer by fooling him into transferring ₹10,000 to his bank account.
KANPUR:
The scribe, identified as Bhupendra Singh, said that he got a call on March 6, where a man identified himself as a deputy superintendent of police (DSP) and claimed that Singh's "obscene" videos have been circulated online and that he had filed a police complaint against him.
He also shared a purported image of the complaint and demanded a "fine" of ₹16,000 to close the case.
