JAIPUR: Chief minister Bhajan Lal Sharma on Tuesday slammed the Congress for humiliating BR Ambedkar in his lifetime while the BJP is following the path shown by the father of India's Constitution and the country's first law minister.
"They made him lose elections two times... they forced him to quit as law minister... why did they not confer the Bharat Ratna on him? It was BJP PM late Atal Bihari Vajpayee who awarded the Bharat Ratna to Ambedkar," Sharma said at a press conference in Jaipur.
