THE STATE HOME DEPARTMENT FORMED AN INTERNAL PANEL ON DECEMBER 18 TO PROBE THE MATTER
Mukesh Mathrani

BARMER: Cybercriminals have infiltrated Rajasthan government portals, targeting farmers' relief funds by hacking into official Single Sign-On (SSO) IDs, officials familiar with the matter said, adding that the hackers have tampered with the bank account details of nearly 3,000 farmers in Barmer, effectively diverting funds meant for agricultural assistance.

Rajendra Singh Chandawat, additional district collector in Barmer, said: "Around 3,000 fraudulent accounts in Barmer have been flagged, and transactions have been frozen to prevent misuse of funds. The disaster management department is actively addressing the issue to safeguard farmers' money."
