Thieves make away with gold worth ₹5.79 cr from jewellery store

MUMBAI: In the early hours of Tuesday, burglars broke into a jewellery store in Thane West and made away with more than 6kg gold jewellery.

The robbers could not break the lockers, so they stole jewellery that was put on display and stored in drawers only.

The incident took place in the dark of the night at Vaman Shankar Marathe Jewellers. The storeowners informed the Naupada police about the break-in.
