NEW DELHI: PK Mishra, principal secretary to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, paid rich tributes to former prime minister Manmohan Singh, who died of age-related illnesses at AIIMS, Delhi on Thursday, saying the country lost a very distinguished leader, an eminent economist and a great human being.

Mishra said his memories with Singh date back to the time when the latter was teaching at the Delhi School of Economics.
