PATNA: As the Opposition has questioned development in the state in the wake of the ongoing Pragati Yatra of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, the latest ranking released by Champion of Change of the Government of India mapping change for aspirational districts shows that backward districts of Bihar have performed brilliantly in terms of implementing development schemes.
The survey was conducted by the NITI Aayog of the Central Government on 49 points in 28 states.
The reports for the month of August 2024 reveal that five districts of Bihar—Begusarai, Nawada, Sitamarhi, Banka, and Jamui—are among the top 10 performing districts in the country. Begusarai has been ranked first out of 112 aspirational districts in the country.
