JAIPUR: The girl, Chetna, has been trapped in a narrow, 150-foot deep borewell since Monday after falling into it while playing at her father's agricultural farm in Badiyali Dhani.People aware of the matter said that the girl's mother, Dholi Devi, has not eaten for more than 70 hours, consumed by anxiety and concern for her daughter's safety."Initially, efforts were made to pull the girl out of the borewell with the help of a ring but all attempts failed. After two days of repeated attempts that fetched no results, a piling was brought to the spot on Wednesday morning and a parallel pit was dug," SHO Sarund Mohammad Imran said.He further said that the pit has been dug and "a horizontal tunnel will now be made through which the experts will probably be able to reach the girl"."All possible efforts were made to pull out the girl but all hard work went in vain as the borewell is narrow and the technique could not deliver results," he added.
