CM Nitish Kumar, Dy CMs Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha, Assembly Speaker Anand Kishor Yadav, Chairman of the Legislative Council Avadhesh Kumar Singh, Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Prasad Yadav and a large number of ministers and dignitaries were present on the occasion.
A former Union minister who held portfolios ranging from energy to civil aviation and also worked in the cabinet with the Bihar CM, Khan arrived in Patna on December 30, when Kumar was in New Delhi, and had been actively engaged even before swearing-in.
Soon after his arrival, the CM called on Arif at the Raj Bhawan on December 31. Later, the governor also visited Kalyan Bigha to pay tributes to Kumar's mother on her death anniversary. The CM was also there.
On his return, the governor also went to meet RJD chief Lalu Prasad and former CM Rabri Devi at the latter's residence. Before that, Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Prasad Yadav also called on Arif at Raj Bhawan.
