An agitating student Arjun Vishwakarma said, "Several students sustained injuries after police resorted to lathi charge in the evening."
Another agitating student shared a video and pictures of the blockade.
"It was the first student agitation after the assembly election. Agitating students expressed their ire for publication of results without proper probe into the allegation of bungling in the recruitment examination by which over 2,000 candidates were selected for graduate level jobs in the state. The blockade started at 1 pm after students from different parts of the district reached Bharat Mata Chowk and continued till evening. Due to the blockade, a long queue of vehicles was noticed on the NH-33," the student said.
