"Residents and police, led by Dhansar police station officer-in-charge Manoj Pandey, immediately launched a rescue operation. Rawani was pulled out with the help of ropes and rushed to Sahid Nirmal Mahto Memorial Medical College and Hospital, where he was declared dead," an official said.Officer Manoj Pandey confirmed the sequence of events, stating, "A group of youths consuming liquor tried to escape upon spotting the police. Tragically, one of them slipped into the well, leading to his death despite rescue efforts."
