DEHRADUN: Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Monday directed officials concerned to take all effective measures to ensure that people do not suffer due to cold wave conditions in the state.
Dhami said, "It should be ensured that all the necessary facilities are available for those staying in the night shelters in the districts. Senior officers of the government, district magistrates and superintendents of police in the districts should inspect the arrangements of the night shelters from time to time. In view of the cold wave, blankets, gloves, socks and other essential items should be made available to the needy. People should also be informed through various means about the places where arrangements for bonfires have been made at night in the districts."
