The fire was in a store room on the second floor of the factory," DFS chief Atul Garg said.A fire official at Tahirpur fire station said, "It was a late-night call. We rushed with 40 men and found that there were workers inside. Four of them had escaped on their own... However, when we started searching inside, we found a charred body inside the storeroom... We think he died in sleep due to asphyxiation and his body later got charred."Police said the deceased, originally from Bihar, lived in a rented accommodation with his elder brother, sister-in-law and nephew in the Tahirpur area.Officers said they are checking if the factory had an NOC and permits from the MCD.
