She said the government received representations from flood-affected areas and has extended the deadline to file monthly returns (GSTR-3B) for business transactions undertaken in the month of November. The returns can now be filed by December 27 instead of December 20, Sitharaman added.
The finance minister took the opportunity to informed the house that the Union government extended all help required to evacuate people because of floods in the state, including 19 rescue teams of army, coast guard and NDRF in the four affected districts. She said the centre has already released about ₹900 crore disaster relief fund expeditiously. "I assure the people of Tamil Nadu that Prime Minister Modi will be there at every time you need him," she said.
