NEW DELHI: Delhi Police officers probing the murder of Shraddha Walkar are hinging their case against her alleged killer, Aaftab Poonawala, on 13 bone fragments and a lower jaw that they had recovered from forested areas in the Capital, investigators aware of the matter have said.
The samples have been sent for DNA profiling to the Central Forensic Science Laboratory CFSL), and a report is still awaited, they added.
Meanwhile, a Delhi court on Friday extended Poonawala’s judicial custody by 14 days, after his previous 13-day judicial custody ended. Police had sought an extension of his custody and submitted that investigations were underway.
