Traffic movement will continue as usual without any diversion for the time being, PWD officials said, adding that the postponement was due to a "procedural delay". The agency, however, did not release a fresh date for the closure.
On Tuesday, the department announced the partial closure of Sarita Vihar flyover on Mathura Road for 50 days in four phases to repair expansion joints and concrete slabs.
"There is a procedural delay, and some permissions are pending within the department. We also need to release an advertisement announcing the road closure. Once this is done, we will start work after a week. The exact date for starting work is yet to be decided," said a PWD official, asking not to named.
