Minister confirms practice resumed after Xmas

102 refugees living in tents

MORE than 100 asylum-seekers are living in tents at a direct provision centre.

The practice stopped last December during sub-zero temperatures but resumed in January and Equality Minister Roderic O'Gorman confirms it still exists.

He said: "There are 102 people currently being accommodated in tented accommodation in Knockalisheen Accommodation Centre in Co Clare.
