WYNNE Evans, the Welsh tenor who has been singing for his supper in Go Compare adverts since 2009, has been crowned this year's BBC Celebrity MasterChef champion.
In last night's intense final, the 51-year-old opera singer out-cooked Emmerdale actress Amy Walsh, 36, and 24-year-old reality star Luca Bish.
After lifting the trophy, dad-of-two Wynne said he would now have to raise his game when it came to feeding his family. He said: "The kids will love this, they'll be like, 'Dad, I can't believe you did it when all you cook for us is beans on toast".
