A BROTHER and sister and their aunt were killed in a horror crash yesterday.
Four other family members were injured in the collision believed to have involved a minibus and a lorry.
Two were being treated at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast and two in Craigavon hospital after the accident on the A5 Tullyvar Road near Aughnacloy, Co Tyrone.
The three family members are believed to be from the Strabane and Newtownstewart areas of the county.
Parish priest Fr Declan Boland told the Irish Mirror the group had been on their way back to Strabane after a family funeral in England when the crash happened at around 7am.
He added: “The community here is deeply saddened and profoundly shocked by what has happened this morning.
“Everyone is just in stark disbelief that this family has been taken so tragically at this time so unexpectedly.”
Fr Boland said the family has been struggling with the tragic news.
He added: “They cannot come to terms with it, they are meeting in small groups to help each other and people are arriving constantly.
