SIMON Cowell has made his Mini eco-friendly by pushing his spending to the max.
The Britain's Got Talent judge is thought to have splashed out &euro;70,000 on the changes.
They included replacing the high-powered petrol engine with an eco-friendly electric motor.
Simon did the revamp with the help of his nine-year-old son Eric.
A source said: "Doing the car up with Eric has been a labour of love.&nbsp;They have really bonded over implementing these changes, and seeing the car develop.
"Making it totally green was a number one priority.
The new electric motor gives the car a range of roughly 120 miles on a single charge.
Simon, 63, spent about &euro;115,000 on the customised car when he bought it three years ago.
Constructed by British firm David Brown Automotive, it is a&nbsp;one-off built to the specifications that Simon requested.
His car, a Mini Remastered, was inspired by the Lotus Esprit Turbo driven by Sir Roger Moore in 1981 Bond film For Your Eyes Only.
The Mini is the same colour described as "copper glow" - and features a Turbo motif on the side.
There are 13-inch alloy wheels and a six-speaker sound system.
An insider said: "It's Simon's pride and joy and he is delighted with the new green version."
