Dozens die in fire as trains collide

THE burnt-out wreckage of two trains lies mangled across the tracks after a high-speed collision in Greece killed at least 43 people.

Many of the dead were believed to be students heading home after a holiday weekend.

Two carriages were incinerated after bursting into flames following the head-on crash.

A witness said people shouted "we are burning".

Another said the collision "felt like an earthquake".

A probe has begun, and police said they think human error was to blame for the tragedy.

Officers were last night interviewing a station-master.
